In memoriam - Giuseppe Besana
He died on January 25th, 2011, at the age of 54.
Giuseppe Besana won the Master’s World Championship three times, in 2003, 2004 and 2005, as well as may prizes in European competitions. He won the Italian League in 1996. He was a bodybuilding promoter and organised yearly competitions in Costa Masnaga.
He worked as a trainer at Garbagnate Monastero for many years and in June 2010 he and three other partners, Gabriella Riva, Giuseppe Gerosa and Yose Beccalli, opened their own centre.
Giuseppe Besana participated in the “Vasile Balmus Memorial“ competition:
- 2002, 14th edition, Master’s (age 40 - 50)
- 2003, 15th edition, Master’s, first place (age 40-50)
- 2004, 16th edition, Master’s, second place (age 40-50)
- 2005, 17th edition, Master’s, first place (age 40-50)
- 2009, 21st edition, Master’s, second place (age 50+)
